The Blog of a forty-something fag
I started blogging before the word “Blogging” existed. That’s not some kind of testament to my ingenuity, it’s just a fact that I have trouble keeping my opinions to myself. Who reads this stuff anyway . . .

What are friends for?

I like to say I live an exciting life. I do lots of fun, crazy things, but unfortunately, most of them I do alone.
Kitesurfing is one, no one I really know does it, but I’ve made some friends at the beach. Roadtrips, skydiving, snorkeling coral reefs off the beach of some volcanic Caribbean island, these things I do, but not with friends or family.
My cycling life is a different story.
If I decide i want to ride the 10 mile 4500 ft of elevation to Mt. Wilson to play in the snow, I know one

Nasty- Party of two? Your table’s ready!

Has this ever happened to you?

I recently had a friend go off on me. Not the usual “God, you are so fucking full of yourself, shut your pie hole and put my jeans back in the drawer!” kind of go off . . . well, yeah actually. THAT kind of go off.

He went off on me over the dinner table with other friends watching, eyes wide, jaws hanging, dropped in disbelief about some mindless thing that certainly didn’t warrant the level of contempt he showed at that moment (Contempt level: 9- akin to

How I’m spending my vacation

I don’t like leaving home in the summertime. Summertime travel is, to say it nicely, bratfilled. It’s not that I hate kids, heavens no, I think I was a kid once myself even, it’s OPC that makes me crazy(Other people’s children). Seems like the world of travel is flooded with a newly emerging baby-boom, and in my secluded, protected world  SCREAMING is not something I’m very accustomed to. Don’t know why- really, It’s just me I guess,  I’m sensitive . . .

What’s all this about?
I’m leading

Can’t go a Day without Damage

I think I’m going to give my kiteboard a break for a while and let it rest. I have done what I came to do this season, which was; learn how to go upwind, learn how to go left, learn how to stay out there longer then 9 minutes, and spend a day on the beach without getting my kite wet.
My first instructor told me that when it comes to kitesurfing “A day you go without injury is a good day” and I think he was right.

As the weather gets cooler, the stingrays come out to the waters edge to get

Badonkadonk tank, get yours today. . .

I found this on Amazon today(not that I was looking for a desert pint-sized tank) and my first thought was “M’God, people will try to sell ANYTHING if they think they can find a buyer!”

That was pretty much my second and third thought too.

The Badankadonk Landcruiser (aka “The Donk) retails for $19,999( because that price sounds cheaper than $20k) and is available for customization from the manufacturer. I understand it has a kick-ass sound system and tops speeds of 40 mph with a 6hp
